Microsoft gives another $3M to Kids in Need of Defense

Microsoft announced today that it will donate another $3 million over three years to Kids in Need of Defense, a fund for providing legal fees to unaccompanied immigrant or refugee children facing deportation from the U.S. In October 2008, Microsoft made an initial commitment of $3 million over three years to help establish KIND. Brad Smith, Microsoft's general counsel, wrote in a blog post that the program works with 80 law firms in seven cities, and has helped about 2,000 children from 35 countries.
