Google adds location aware search results

Google is constantly finding ways to improve the world's most popular search engine. On Android devices, Google recently added an option called "Near me now" on the Google homepage. This section lets you see a list of close-by points of interest via your GPS location. Now, according to The Official Google Blog, Google has decided to implement location aware results into desktop search as well.

When you visit Google's website and expland the "Show options" section, you will see a new option for "Nearby." This will allow Google to cater your search results based on your location. Once searching nearby, you can then use the "Custom Location" option to instruct Google to use an alternate search location. This sort of thing could come in very handy when planning a trip; this option is only available via the English version of Google.com.
